Our Mission

Costa's Cure is a testicular cancer foundation established to honor the life of Costa S. Migadakis. The foundation is dedicated to the awareness, education, treatment and research of testicular cancer in the US and internationally.

Life and love are the most precious gifts. Costa's life is a testament of all the beauty that surrounds us, of the strength we all have within, and the triumph of our spirits during the most traumatic and challenging moments. Costa's Cure will help ensure that Costa's most lasting legacy -love of life- is conveyed through our efforts, so that young men and their families will not endure the unnecessary pain and suffering associated with testicular cancer, if not detected early.

Our Vision

Costa's Cure, will raise funds through our fundraising events and donations from the public and private sectors.

The primary purpose of this foundation shall be to promote awareness of testicular cancer and the importance of early detection.

An additional purpose for the foundation will be to provide support and information to families from abroad seeking treatment for testicular cancer

Ultimately, Costa's Cure would like to support a research facility dedicated to finding a cure for testicular cancer and the rare metastasis occurring afterward.

Finally, the foundation hopes to initiate a scholarship fund at Brown University in the memory of Costa S. Migadakis, to be awarded to an individual each year. It will be created with the intent of furthering the awareness of testicular cancer within the Brown University community.

Currently, Costa's Cure will not hire any employees and all activities association with the proper maintenance and function of the foundation will be on a voluntary basis with the Board of Directors.

Our Strategy

To accomplish the objectives and purposes of the corporation, the Board of Directors will create several committees.

To see these committees just go to meet the team

The committees will:

  • Organize the various seminars and lectures and fundraising events such as annual dinners, sponsored sporting and social events.
  • Build relationships with skilled and motivated teachers, health professionals, parents and students across the US and internationally. Our first targeted area will be the northeast region, specifically, New York, Boston and Providence.
  • Build a network of testicular cancer survivors. This network will grow through a partnership program linking all those who share our goals and vision. Through our donations we will help support this network to spread the word about early detection.
  • Develop and launch Costa's Cure chapters in college campuses and university's. The chapters will help communicate our message. Costa's Cure is currently establishing a prototype to test the effectiveness and interest of this strategy. Our purpose is to have the students on campus help direct our efforts. We hope to support any events in which the message of Costa's Cure can be spread.
  • Build a network of strategic alliances. Costa's Cure will actively target other testicular cancer foundations, medical research facilities, medical journals and news magazines in the US and internationally to help promote awareness. Together, we hope to put health in the forefront of our young men's minds so that in years to come the awareness they have of their bodies will save their lives.

This is a bold strategy for a bold cause!

ALL COMMITTEE'S WILL BE FORMED WITH VOLUNTEERS, NO SALARIES WILL BE PAID TO ANY INDIVIDUAL FOR THIS PURPOSE, AT THIS TIME.
