BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Susan Aurecchione - Susan, Costa's girlfriend, is currently working as a Sales and Reservations executive at the Park South Hotel in New York. [susana@parksouthhotel.com]

Evy Migadakis - Evy, Costa's sister, is a dentist in New York. [evymigad@yahoo.com]

Steve Migadakis -. Steve, Costa's father, is living in Greece, where he is actively working on raising awareness of testicular cancer among the young Greek men.

David Ollendike - Dave is a survivor of testicular cancer. He has been with the foundation since inception. [dollendike@hotmail.com]

Melissa Ollendike - Melissa is David's sister and is one of the important links in his support system. She has also been involved with the foundation since its inception. Currently, Melissa works as the Director of Research at an Executive Recruiting and Management Consulting firm. She works and resides in New York City. [melissa431@hotmail.com]

Nurse Practitioner, Garden City High School.

Neil Jani

CPA, Chief Financial Officer at Oscar Capital Management, LLC in New York. Prior to joining Oscar Capital, Neil worked at Steinhardt Management Company as Controller.

Scott Jaworski

Scott is our talented graphic designer. His artistic skills, imagination and enthusiasm are only some of his qualities that make him an indispensable part of Costa's Cure.

Stirling Levy

Costa's classmate and friend during Costa's time at Columbia Business School. Stirling was one of the first volunteers and initiators of our first grassroots fundraiser by running in the New York Marathon on November 7, 1999.

Dr. William Oh

Dr. William Oh is a genitourinary cancer specialist working at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Anthony Scaramucci

Partner of Oscar Capital Management LLC and investment advisory firm in New York City.

Bobby Valentine

Manager of the New York Mets.

COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD

Board Development

Ensure effective board processes, structures and roles, including retreat planning, committee development, and board evaluation; sometimes includes role of nominating committee, such as keeping list of potential board members, orientation and training.

Public Relations

Represents the organization to the community; enhances the organization's image, including communications with the press.

Events (or Programs)

Plans and coordinates major events, such as fundraising (non profits), team-building ,planning, seminars to schools and colleges.

Finance

Oversees development of the budget; ensures accurate tracking/monitoring/accountability for funds; ensures adequate financial controls; often led by the board treasurer; reviews major grant and associated terms.

Grant development

Research possible grant donors for our foundation. Obtain RFP (request for proposals), complete RFP's and send them out before appropriate deadlines. Volunteer development- Guides development and authorizations of volunteer policies and procedures.
