Guest Book

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I was searching for related sites to testicular cancer and came across yours. My husband (30 yrs. old) was diagnosised with testicular cancer 3 weeks ago. We have now had the initial surgery and are now awaiting the results of his body CT scan to see what our treatment plan will be. This is a great website - keep up the good work. I had never heard anything about TC until my husband was diagnosed. Thanks for raising the awareness. jennifer

I am not a very expressive person. This makes it hard for people to know what I am really feeling or thinking. This time I am going to make an exception.I miss Costa everyday and I wish I could have him back in my life.Costa may not be around us in an apparent or a visible way.But he is right here in other ways.I'm telling you-Costa has a great impact in my life. When I have to face a situation,I think of what he would do and suddenly I have found the answers. So,now I know that I want to be a part of this effort to inform people of testicular cancer.I know that working in a team brings out the best results. However,I believe that we can also help in a personal level by starting with informing a relative or a friend about testicular cancer.I strongly believe that we are equally responsible for the things we do with the things that we do not do.Not talking about testicular cancer will not solve the problem.Congratulations for the site and keep up with the good work.Take care, Costa's sister, Laura

David: Thanks again for coming to Garden City High School and talking to all the senior students about Testicular Cancer. Senator Kemp Hannon's support was very welcome! I think combining both sexes was healthy and your talk certainly gained their attention. A couple of students came to the office a few days after your talk asking significant questions. Look in the GC News and GC Life for an article about the seminar. Thanks again and we'll see you next year. Pat

I've always been proud of Costa, ever since I was a little girl wearing my hair in plaits. For me he was my Great cousin Costa who had the ability to do everything perfect and make you happy just by putting this great smile on.I still am proud of Costa, more than I've ever been. The one thing I regret is that I didn't have enough time with him and that I had to lose him to let some people know how much and how deeply I loved him. We are so consumed in this stressfull world that only a tragedy brings us close with the people we love.We forget to show them our feelings because we think we're always have the opportunity.Don't do that.Express your every moment feelings to the ones you love. That's my advice to everyone out there.Congratulations to the team for the excellent work. Evy, you are doing A-ok, keep up the good work.

The phrase 'it could never happen to me' is one that most of us have used at some stage in our lives, however it CAN and maybe it WILL. What may not be inportant to us today may be tomorrow, so lets open our eyes and our minds. AWARENESS IS KEY! Congratulations Evy and team for time and effort for such an important cause and letting evryone know what a wonderful cousin Costa was. Let he be an inspiration to us all.

If anything can soften the pain of losing our beloved Costa, it is the hope that other young men will not need to suffer the same way. We are proud of the Costa's Cure members for trying to make a difference. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Hello! Was glad to find your site.. Awareness is of the utmost with TC! I am the partner of a TC patient, and until his diagnosis, I hadn't really heard much on TC.. we must ALL SPREAD the word, and teach young men to be aware. Not just Self EXAM, also other symptoms. My partners TC was not found thru self exam, nor could it be, but he knew something just "wasn't right".. lets all teach young men to be aware of their bodies, so they will know when something is going wrong. Please any of you reading this feel free to email us at any time, for support or anything at all we can do to help.. Bless all the TC patients and their families.

This is my first time hearing about this. As a mother of a 17 year old son, I could suggest that you try to make this information available to the high schools, especially the boys' high schools. They have information on everything else. This is something all men and parents should know.

Testicular Self Exam (TSE) is a 5 minute once a month exam that may save a young man from testicular cancer mestastis! TSE can save lives! As an advocate for Testicular Cancer awareness, I want to be part of your network. David is a real trooper and has helped me keep alive a dream to attain media attention for this dreaded disease. Middle and Junior High Schools are the place introduce the concept. High Schools are the place to educate young men about TSE. Consider using energy to lobby for Testicular Cancer Awareness Day. I'm behind you all the way - contact me for any help you think I may be. I would be proud to be affiliated with this group. I'm a good worker and will do whatever I can to help you make this happen.
